against the priest, he also was not clear on whether or not he would try to recharge lynched on that one account that the jury was hung up on and that is misdemeanor assault. as for mr. lynch himself, he now says that he wants to try to move away from this by doing something that can help others. he wants to start a nonprofit for people like him who suffered under clergy sexual abuse. >> thank you. nearly three-quarters of respondents in an exclusive eyewitness news poll agreed with the jury's decision, just 20 percent disagreed. 7% say that they're not sure. >> two more men charged in a murder that took place last month in the san fransisco bayview district. police say that a man and another man team up with a san fransisco couple bent on killing their teenage daughters suspected pimp this is murder and conspiracy charges. those parents pled not guilty to the crime in june. police say one man is father's

cousins. state lawmakers closer to pulling the trigger on the california bullet train but the polarizing project still needs to clear one final high-stakes hurdle, priestly is here with how the trains backers are trying to keep on track. >> an hour ago the assembly approved funding for this project. it still needs approval from the senate and to make sure that that happens, supporters are tying high-speed rail to caltrans. why? that is all to sweeten the deal. >> according to a new field poll, support is falling for the $68 billion high-speed rail project from san fransisco to los angeles. more than 52 percent of california voters approved it in 2008, the field poll shows only 39 percent of likely voters support the project now. >> i am not sure. i don't know where we would get the money to do that. that is the only problem. >> i do not know if it is what i

would want to spend extra tax money on now. i'm more interested in education. >> that is what the state legislature is wrestling with. deciding whether to fund the first leg of the project. approving a $2.6 billion bond and receiving billions of dollars from the federal government that would pay for construction of high-speed rail to bakersfield. the governor has been a big supporter saying that it would add jobs and improve road congestion and be environmentally friendly. but because the project is losing popularity, high-speed rail states is now tied in with ... the more popular and will use system, cal train. the hope to encourage more state senators to pass high-speed rail in order to get caltrans funding. the deal, if the legislature passes this part of high-speed rail, it would also passed $750 million to modernize cow train, changing it from diesel to electric by 2019. >> if we can electrify the

system, we will be able to accommodate more people and provide more service. it is better for the environment and more economical. >> and now there are indications that high-speed rail could affect the governor's tax initiative that will be on the november ballot. the new poll shows that voters are less likely to approve it in high-speed rail is passed but the money that would be raised by those tax hikes would not necessarily fun high-speed rail. i am gristly, cbs 5. >> crackdown on illegal fireworks and catching people firing guns to celebrate the fourth. that is what oakland tried to do. chopper 5 spotted these illegal fireworks last night. here is more on how police tell us the shot spotters system worked. >> despite the illegal fireworks over oakland, reports from oakland police and open fire is that the city and avoided any serious incidents. this is video of what in some cases looked more like a professional fireworks never

discharged in oakland. some bursting very i into the air. but oakland fire says the only responded to 6 fireworks related incidents and none caused serious injuries. as for the oakland police, the shot spotter system had 400 activation for illegal fireworks and 80 activation for gunfire before 11:00 p.m. last night. the police say the system did help them track down some violators. >> it was instrumental last night, as you all know we had dedicated teams of officers that were just responding to fireworks and a to a celebratory gunfire. >> when oak lawn police confiscated fireworks they would bring them to this fire station to be disposed and at one station several boxes of illegal fireworks were brought in through the night including what are called m 1000. much larger cousins of the familiar and 80 and fire officials say they can easily cause serious injuries and perhaps even blowing off a hand. police say that shot spotter

department headquarters during the fourth of july occupy oakland march. officers say that graffiti was splattered on the vehicle and a building on seventh street in downtown oakland. no arrests have been made in connection to these crimes. it is official, no armored vehicles in berkeley. the mayor confirm that they're not pursuing the option to buy one of the vehicles for local officers. it would have cost more than $160,000. muni service pack up and running falling a mechanical problem at the castro station. the agencies as part of a train was snagged on an overhead wire and killed power to the car and block to the tracks. that affected three lines downtown causing delays. bus shuttles are sti running through the evening rush hour. more women than ever are turning in their honda and taking up a harley. at 6:00 don ford explains a new california trend.

that zimmerman and his wife misled the court about their finances. zimmermann said that he was defending himself when he shot trayvon martin in february. a fired florida life guard has turned down his boss's offer to return to the tower. he got the ax on monday after rushing to help a swimmer in trouble. what got him fired is that he rushed past a sign warning people to swim at their own risks. the lifeguard company said it that it is a liability even though other lifeguards covered his post while he was gone. since he was let go, about half a dozen of his colleagues have quit in protest. a long beach man allegedly shot at officers trying to inspect his property is in custody after a day long swat team standoff. neighbors say that the man is a quarter and had received several months to clean up his home and yard. police say that he shot a code enforcement officer in had money arrived this morning to serve an

of thousands of people round the world could be knocked off of the internet because of a malicious computer virus. the fbi advises everyone to check their computers to see if they are infected. julie watts tells us how. >> personal assistant jake lewis says that he is on line more than 15 hours per day. >> i have all my documents stored on-line. that is contact and scaliger the wind. >> he had no idea that he could lose access to all that on monday along with thousands of others who may be knocked off line thanks to an old internet blogger. the fbi has been on the case since last year when agents busted a ring of computer hackers in estonia. the scam infected hundreds of thousands of computers around the world and control them through roca servers. they would redirect people to different websites and racked up millions of dollars in the legal fees but if the fbi shut down the hacker servers and it would

have immediately wiped out the internet connection for all of the victims. so instead the fbi set up temporary alternate servers which took control of the infected computers. but those shutdown on monday. >> when these temporary servers are taken down by the fbi, your computer will not be able to connect to the internet even if you have a proper cable connection. >> that is why the fbi has been directing users to this website since april, d c w g.org allows you to check for the virus and tells you how to fix it. >> i relieved to know that i will not lose my internet on monday. >> as many as 64,000 other computers are at risk. the fbi thinks that as many as 60 major american corporations are affected as well. to find a link to help you find out if you are at risk head to
